I’ve been super lazy during my week of vacation, which was pretty much the point, so mission accomplished. I didn’t finish a dungeon map, but in lieu of that I wanted to share a resource that you may or may not already know about:
ORBIS, The Stanford Geospatial Network Model of the Roman World
It’s basically Google Maps for the Roman Empire, and when you get a look at all of the travel options and info, you’ll see that this is an absolutely indispensable resource for historical gaming.
See you all in 2013!
ORBIS is packed with historical info, but I find it more useful as background for a sandbox than an ongoing resource. I’ve found Google maps works quite well for mapping a historical campaign.
